How to use Invert PDF Colors
Choose your PDF, review the settings, and select Invert Colors. Check the result and use Download Result to save your new file. Your source file is unchanged.
Save an inverted PDF, not just a dark viewer
The tool renders each selected page, reverses the red, green and blue channels, and embeds the result into a new PDF. Black becomes white and white becomes black. Other colors change to their complements, so this is different from converting to grayscale.
Choose a practical resolution
A higher DPI retains more visible detail but increases memory use and output size. Start with 110 DPI for screen reading. If a very large page exceeds the pixel limit, lower the resolution or resize it first. This tool processes one page at a time but the browser still holds the resulting PDF.
Image-based output
The inverted page is a bitmap at the chosen resolution. It no longer has its original searchable text or interactive objects. Unselected pages retain their original page content. Keep your original PDF if you need searchable text or editable forms later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a reversible dark-mode setting?
No. It creates a separate file with inverted page pixels. Keep the source PDF.
Will photographs also change color?
Yes. Every rendered pixel is inverted, including photographs, diagrams and text.
