Open-source JavaScript libraries may be loaded as code dependencies, but the source document is handled by the browser during the transformation. For sensitive files, always use a trusted device and close the tab when you are finished. For handwritten marks on a compatible touch device, a tablet stylus may make document annotation more comfortable.
Quality and Compatibility
The report contains annotation data exposed by PDF.js. Flattened visual markup and application-specific private data may not appear as annotations. PDF files can contain unusual fonts, forms, annotations, embedded files, encryption, transparency, or application-specific structures, so no browser tool can guarantee identical behavior for every document. Keep the original file until you have checked the output in the PDF viewer or downstream application you plan to use. If you need to inspect small text or compare layouts, a monitor for reviewing documents gives you more space to review the result.

Mobile and Desktop Use
Extract PDF Annotations Online Free processes the working document on your device. The page is responsive and works on current desktop and mobile browsers. Ordinary files can be processed on phones and tablets, but large scans, image-heavy PDFs, and long documents may require more memory than a mobile browser can comfortably provide. For bigger jobs, a current desktop version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari is usually more reliable. If your source starts on paper, a document scanner can create the digital files for this workflow.
